The Missing Six Minutes

On Friday night, 350 people gasped at the shortlisted films, then sat down for the big film. Six minutes from the end, the screen went black and the lights came up. So we made our own version of the night. Now it’s your turn to finish it.

Friday · The queue

A night of small delays

19:15

The queue went round the building. Names were checked one by one. The escalator picked that night to stop. The popcorn came out a few pieces at a time. Every few minutes added up.

The film in our parody plays it all for laughs. Nobody was hoovered up.

The big film · Final reel

Six minutes to go

6:00 left on the reel

The hero had strung his bow. Everyone leant forward. Then time ran out, the picture stopped and the house lights came on. Nobody saw how it ends.
