Sponsor the programme.

Filmmakers and builders use your product to make finished films against a deadline. You see exactly how they used it and what they made, not just your logo on a banner.

What you get

  • Teams building with your tools during the hack
  • Your own mentors, and a challenge you set
  • A report on how your product was used
  • Honest feedback from the people who used it
  • Your own award, judged separately from the main jury

ProofAt Cannes 2026, Popcorn ran its own award. The winner, Slow Lights, was made mostly in Popcorn and screened at the Cinéum during festival week.

  • A plan for audience and participant numbers
  • Who handles each part of production
  • Your venue credited in press and partner materials

How it works

What happens next.

  1. Tell us what you have in mind

Use the form: who you are, which route, and roughly when. It takes two minutes.

  2. Talk it through with Aaron

A short call to understand what you want to get out of it. Aaron replies personally, usually within a few days.

  3. Get a written proposal

What is included, who does what, the timings and the cost, for the route you chose.

  4. Take part, then see the results

The event itself, followed by the films, photos and a write-up of what happened.

Questions

Good to know.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the route and the event. After a short call, Aaron sends a written proposal setting out what is included and what it costs.

Which cities and dates are coming up?

These are the chapters we are working on now. Dates marked as to be confirmed are still being arranged.

  • London5 to 16 October 2026 · During the BFI London Film Festival
  • Online Brand HackTwo-week online challenge
  • RiyadhApril 2027
  • Cannes Film FestivalMay 2027 · Dates to be confirmed
  • Cannes LionsJune 2027 · Dates to be confirmed
  • TribecaJune 2027 · Dates to be confirmed
  • TorontoSeptember 2027 · Dates to be confirmed
Can we combine more than one route?

Yes. A technology partner can also set a brand brief, for example, or a venue can host a screening. Say so in your message.

Is Big Screen Hack part of the festivals it runs alongside?

No. Festival-week chapters are independent unless they are clearly labelled as an official programme or partnership. We will always use precise wording about any connection.

What do you need from us to get started?

Just the form, or an email to aaron@bigscreenhack.com. Tell us who you are, which route interests you and roughly when.
