Step 1 · Who is it for?
Every entry is one ad, 20 to 60 seconds long, made on OpenClips. Who it's for is up to you.

Brand challenge 1 · SmartyPlants
Turn SmartyPlants' Dragons' Den pitch into an ad. The recording, the transcript, the app screens and the brand kit are all on their page.
A vertical 9:16 version is required. Any tools are fine; make it on OpenClips and it can win The Big Sell too.

Brand challenge 2 · RecDek House
Make the launch ad for The Drive-In, RecDek House's new pay-per-view home for independent film. 2D animation, retro and feel-good.
Add text, logos and web addresses in the edit. The logo and palette are on the challenge page.

Show what creative intelligence is and how StoryMachine helps you: test ideas on an audience before you make the full film, and direct by voice or typing, with a team of creative agents and people working together.
Any tools are fine. The video must feature StoryMachine in action.
The double
Make a brand challenge ad on OpenClips and enter it for both. It can win the brand's prize and The Big Sell's US$1,500.
US$500 brand prize + US$1,500 Big Sell = US$2,000 for one ad.
Step 2 · Make it
Sharing your workflow publicly on OpenClips is an optional extra.
Your credits · a gift from OpenClips
Share your Big Screen Hack card and two OpenClips codes appear on your profile, US$10 each.
Step 3 · Hand it in
Submit on the entry form, tick The Big Sell and say who your ad is for. Tick a brand challenge as well if you made one.
Entries close at midday (UK time) on Sunday 11 October.
Friday 16 October · the IMAX
The winning ads play on the IMAX on premiere night, before the films, with the tools you used credited.
